Hi Mel M, i'm not that away far from Brum, I've lived in Cheltenham this past 25 yrs although I am an Essex girl !!!
We dont pay for water on our site, but have to supply our own hoses and water butts. I am lucky to have a tap at the top of my plot.
The people on the plot next to me have chickens. They know me now and cluck when I arrive, as I give them dandelion leaves or slugs when I find any. We also have some very laid back foxes who dont even run off when they see my dogs!
I have a tap right outside of my gate but as it is at the top of a rise anyone using a tap further down takes away all the pressure. Just a case of waiting. We do personally try to limit the amount of hose usage, tending to only use it to give the ground a good soaking during prolonged dry spells. The rest of the time it is back and forth with the watering can, which although a bind with a triple plot does keep me fit.
Wild life , somebody on the site had some Quail , unfortunately a mink got in and killed them all , it climbed the wire fence , so the people have have put a roof on , hopefully that will help protect some more Quail
Hello all - went to the allotment shop today and had a look around and took pictures - from different plots
great harvest in green house
lots of dahlias
Here is a couple pics for you Zoomer with the grass around the fruit trees to help with what you want to do
and like I said about the pot being planted in the ground but I meant a spare one same size to take out when plant the tree a whole ready made then - I guess they will plant the tree later on
Some great pics, I can't wait until I can get mine looking half decent. I pay £30 for 250m2. I originally had a double, so 500m2 and it was £34 altogether. North East, near chester le street.

We have at least one badger on our site and foxes. Someone has chickens but they're well protected from the foxes
