How much time do other people spend on their plots each week. I can only get down at weekends and go in the morning so I've the afternoon to do other things.
I've more than enough aubergine seeds Fruitcake, you could try the seed swap thread.
I haven't got an allotment as such Zoomer but an 'extra garden' (funny village layout!) across from my neighbours garden so we are turning this into our garden allotment. Now that it's finally cleared of grass and weeds I'm hoping to spend most of my weekends on it and, being so close to it, should be able to work on it a few evenings too . I'm also reducing my hours work wise next month so gonna be a happy bunny !
thanks for feedback on propogators Weyplotter and Gina
Glad the poly tunnel has arrived Gina-enjoy. Going to try making your Aub dip it sounds nice. Just checked my Aub seeds 2 are beginning to pop through
Going to the plot shortly to dig through the beds ready for planting. How much time do I spend? not as much I'd like too but since working P/T tend to go during the week as w/ends are taken up with family.
Woo, I think we would all love to see a photo of your village allotment garden, sounds lovely.
Got some freebies off a local farm on Wednesday (its being demolished) a few lengths of plumbers pipe to make cloche hoops and a roll of chicken wire which I can use for growing peas up. I do love a freebie
Hi Gina, I posted some pics last November ( see page 22), although it has now been cleared right up to the hedges. I think it's the first pic that shows our DIYdumping area lol, that has now gone and is where my new greenhouse sits waiting to be filled
We are hoping to start making paths this weekend, weather permitting, so individual beds will start to appear.
Ginagibbs glad you got your ploy tunnel - will have to check out Youtube Carol Klein's videos
Bunka good there is free horse manure near you always nice to get that something gardeners like - can't remember who but someone is from Surrey area on here

Should be ok if the manure is well rotted.
