I've had some in the cellar, it came in through the sky light but it has dried out now and I've covered the air vents till the weather improves.

I think the rain weather fronts are moving away from the NW now although it was raining again today.
  • Hello went to the allotment plot today had to rescue a few things from the wind trying to take the tarpaulins off the pallets and wood - did try to re cover hope they are ok rather windy to put the tarpaulins back they were waving around a lot

Managed to do some more digging for an hour then it started raining

I'm hoping to go to the plot on Sunday. If we get a dry afternoon though may go before. Onions and garlic planted a few weeks ago are showing shoots and also some of the spring bulbs.

I've shallots to plant....and my kings seeds have arrived, need to collect those on Sunday.

Did anyone grow Chad this year. I'm told it will last a couple of years, not sure what to do with it now, should it be cut back to the ground or just left to continue growing?

Zoomer , chard , last year grew it for first time and again this year , I just left mine and will do so again as I don't need the bed for anything else , it did seem to stop growing once it got really cold , seem to remember after a while not worth harvesting ?image

  • Hello, haven't been to the allotment for a little while due to the weather, every time I have a day off it seems to rain or I've been busy. I'm hoping to go tomorrow with the boys for an hour if I can keep them occupied and if they refrain from arguing with each other.
