I really need to spend some dry time at the allotments. I need to put growmore down for my sprouts and brocolli and get started on digging the new one. Problem with that is that when its dry and sunny, I'm at work
Managed to get a couple of hours digging done yesterday, why is it sooo satisfying, I always come home with a smile on my face and a happy glow (I must have been a Gloucester Old Spot in a previous life lol)
Just got home from a meeting , did think about poping up to the A ( A = my new abbreviation for Allottment ) but it will be dark at 4-00 and drizzly rain , so decided to look at G/W furom instead
I like digging too there's a feel good factor when you look back over what you've dug and see how much better it looks without weeds...
Does anyone have a 'to do list' for over winter?
On my the list is to take down old shed and put in a fence where the shed was. Replace fence at top of plot and make a compost area. Make more paths, with bricks I've piled up and put in some path edging with branches from a cut down tree.
Order seeds too although I've loads spare from this year. Thought I'd try pumpkins next year.
What a lot to do Zoomer44 - does that mean you have no shed on the plot, think you will be busy - my to do list is getting no where as I have a nasty cold
Ginagibbs well done with your digging had to look up the Gloucestershire bit you one of those not sure about that
GWRS you just have to wait to get to your plot, you could watch some youtube bits
To do list has loads of jobs at the Allottment both gardening and none gardening , I look at none gardening as restraining sheds , rehang gates ect . My main job is to glaze the second hand greenhouse
Just been to a garden club meeting , really good talk about cut flowers , bought a clematis to cover a water cube
Gg- I'll still have the shed with no door, the one I'm taking down might fall down before Springand I'll have help with the other jobs.
Wish we had a gardening club near here, there are sometimes talks at Betham Nursery, they are usually mid week though and there was a talk at the local park last week about pruning fruit tree's and caring for them but I was working

Hoping to go to the allotment for a few hours at the weekend. There's still alot of digging to do and I want to plant some more garlic and onions.
