    Thank you both  image

Fruitcake, you certainly work hard on getting your plots sorted image

I know what you mean about growing flowers and space is at a premium on most plots. However, I'm looking to edge my beds with herbs and flowers to encourage pollinators and have a cutting bed for the same reason. Be a bit of a squash and a squeeze but will give it a go image image

I can always find room for some flowers , a bit of diversity helps in my opion

Put clematis against water butts , one gone great other not so , think a mole got it

Also put some lavenders in , the bees love them

tried growing sweet peas at the allotment , they where hopelessimage

a couple of sun flowers by the beans looks nice as well , in fact most people on our site grow some flowers but everybody to there own

Wow you've all been very busy! You can tell from the pics how well you've done BizzieB

Gardening girl, it was seed catalogues I ordered, not any seeds yet, I'm a bit behindimage

BizzieB...planning a complete overhaul of the veggie garden area. Have only been growing in about 3 beds for the last couple of years....the garden had been left to go wild somewhat when we bought it. We've just been keeping it tidy for the last couple of years but know hoping to completely restructure it. Lots if ideas but really need to get it all down on paper but we now  have 2/3rds of it cleared of weeds and grass. Hoping to buy a new greenhouse as the old one is falling apart, also going to change its location so planning to get a base in over the next couple of weeks.

We have a few pallets to create a composting area and also want to get some bark down for the first of the pathways.

Hoping to get outside tomorrow if I feel up to it, have a good day peeps!

  • There will be lots of multi-headed sunflowers on one of the plots next year as they're being grown for a wedding (not mine!) we had a mulit-headed one in the garden this year and it was gorgeous- probably about 20 heads on it at its peak image

Good morning image just back from an early recce of the plot to measure place for a shed.

The ground needs levelling so it will mean more digging to get rid of the clumpy grass and, I think, where plants had been taken up by previous holders. The best place wil be top left corner near neighbours compost area. Which means I'll have to sort out the back fence and the mound of, now, weedy soil.

Pootled about looking at the planned pathways between the beds. All looking good image could do with a birds eye view then the grass wouldn't look so long!

Light rain at the moment but high cloud so hopefully not too wet a day.

    Enjoy the gardening image
