BizzieB.... What are 'lurkies' ???? Lol

  • Gave one of the plot holders ( a lovely retired school teacher) a bag of horse manure as I have free access to an unlimited supply and thought she might appreciate some. In return she gave me a stack of carrots for the horses, plus a lovely big French Sorrel plant and some horse radish. imageimage

GG I got some green manure in a sale at a local GC, its worth looking around to see if they are clearing out stock. Wilkinsons were having a garden sale with a lot of stuff reduced to 10p!!! (came out with 3 bags full of stuff)image.

  • I went to Wilko's garden sale too....5 big bash full of stuff that didn't fit in the bags properly, back to work and then home on the bus image

I have just picked up the keys to plot 2 *does excited dance*

  • Thanks all it was GWRS that was wanting green manure seeds, I have some I got from Mr Fothergill's online a while ago

So exciting for you Fruitcake to have your key for your new plot - now you can go to the plot when ever you want

Sounds as though some of have great bargains - what garden goodies did you get?

    I guess lurkies are slugs

image my  'Lurkies' are those things which are put away (in my case behind the shed) in the spirit of  "I'll sort it all out tomorrow or next weekend" which I dont do. So its a very messy job going through everything and making the decisions of what to do with it, and there was very close contact with the slugs and snails!

All done for another...er... few months image

  • What did I get in wilkos? Modules, trays, propagators of normal size and window size amd more trays, all for 10p each image

If anyone is looking to bag a fruit tree bargin, Asda are selling fruit tree's for £5, they had a selection of pears and apple at the weekend. B & Q are selling them for £10 each, apple and plum.

I bought 6 tree's but didn't know about the one's at Asda until after buying some from B & Q which was a tab bit annoying as I could have saved £20.

  • Zoomer if you've nt done anything to the trees from B&Q id be tempted to take them back and buy them from asdaimage

  • Are they bigger from B&Q Zoomer
