Only got an hour at the plot yesterday as a garden project was in dire need of finishing. We now have a larger border with lots of palms, Fatsia's etc for a semi tropical themeimage

Did plant some Arran Pilot early spuds in doors. Got some recyling crates to plant them in. Will put the rest in the ground a bit later in the month.

Lovely chooks Woo2, wish OH would let me keep them but he thinks they are a tie if we want to go away, plus only have 1/2 plot size so not quite enough room.

Q on your allotment sites do you have restriction on size of shed?

on the council website you can only have a 6 by 6 shed not very big

GG our sheds are very small council ones, about 6x 6 i think, I can just about get in it with all my kit but dont like to cos there is a big black spider lurking somewhere image (such a coward!!) thats why I am so pleased with poly tunnel, I can swing a cat in there (not that I would)  My shed does have an overhang someone put on the back, which is very useful as I can put bulky things like hose pipes and garden chairs etc.

Good morning everyone image, thanks for the feedback.

Think I overdid the gardening on Sunday , my muscles are complaining loudly! It's lovely and sunny today, don't know for how long, a cloudy day with showers was forecast  Hoping to get more sowing done later and think id better transplant my toms into small pots.....not liking the look of them still !

Hope you all have a good  day image

Wow Woo2 no wonder you are achey today, you have done tonnes!

GWRS- I was thinking I might put green manure down to help the soil.

We went to the plot on fri and did some more digging.

i have leggy giant sunflowers growing, need to do something with them Soon.

My rudbeckia seedlings are growing as are my cowslip which I was surprised about as it says for weeks in the house then 4 weeks in the fridge. Nothing of the verbena yet.

My potatoes are chatting but they are a bit wrinkly and the things growing out of them are black and have little green things on them. Not sure if that makes sense image

SB it sounds as though your spuds are doing fine image

I have had TWO WHOLE DAYS of not allotmenting image and image but I will have to make up for it tomorrow no doubt. Meant to be collecting my girls on Friday but I'm not sure we'll be entirely ready. Silly little things like not knowing whether I should use hay or auboise or something else entirely in the little run of the house itself or all over or not at all. Not knowing how much feed to give them. What if I am a rubbish chicken keeper? What if I haven't done enough to protect them against "Foxy"? What happens if they get sick? What do I do if go there and find one extinct of life?

I should know these things. But I don't. Am I really ready to do this?
