Went to the plot this morning. There never seems to be anyone else there.

It stayed dry so got lots done. Moved some flags down the plot after finally deciding where to put up a shed and GH. That will be a job in progress over the coming weeks.

Been searching for a couple of pear trees online but haven't yet found the ones I want.

I was thinking security when deciding where to put the shed and GH.

Have thought about putting a lock on the plot gate, both the neighbouring plot holders lock their plots but then a locked gate may infer there's something to steal.

    Hope the meeting goes well

Hobbled down to my plot yesterday(got chucked off the horse, so a bit of a sore rump lol) . Next door lady was there weeding, but no one else, as you say Zoomer, seems to be deserted of late! Only went to pick some kale etc, some stuff had to get thrown away due to frost damage. Roll on springimage

Hello all I added another video of my allotment plot if you wish to see it

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PE3hkUrtDqQ

Not much going on there on my plot as I am not to well really want to get there do stuff but going to have to wait

GWRS that is a good idea if Stagbeetle wanted to share the plot - you had a good bit of DIY going on then

Zoomer44 glad you managed to get to the plot and great to know where the shed is going  -  wait a bit for a pear trees sure Aldi or Lidl will have some in unless you want a step over one then try Pomona fruits.co.uk  get 10% off from GW mag

Ginagibbs - painful thought you were riding the horse to the plot then

Woo2 another though you could buy pop up cloches -Pippa Greenwood does good ones http://www.pippagreenwood.com/products/protect-your-crops  or make some frames with netting or wire over the beds which would be cheaper

Hello , good allotment meeting , I am not the committee but anybody can attend and concerned about security

We are going to look into buying 4 solar/battery security cameras for the site and see if they will fit into bird boxes , also see about fencing an open section next to a field at the bottom of the site image

Will try and get there Friday or Sunday , happy gardening everybody image

Gg - happy picking. I've got Red Duke of York chitting, Nicola and another which I've already lost the label for...image Robinsons are having a potato fair in a couple of weeks so planned to get some more varieties to grow in bags. Let us know which one's you choose.

GWRS -We have one person on the committee who deals just with security so each year there's usually a discussion about security improvements. .

    Looking forward to the weekend.image
