Your plot looks very healthy and productive ginagibbs  image and  I'm thinking how neat the bark paths look. Maybe an alternative for mine if the site gets too wet this spring (prone to 'holding water' I'm told!).

I'm looking for a shed about the size of yours. I'd like a door on the longer side of it. 6x4 is the max size for our plots.  .              Have seen one on another plot with decking and an extended porch, other than that they are in various condition and colours depending on age - eclectic is the word, nice and natural image

I'm hoping to eventually have bark paths too, Gina's look so tidy. the 'grass' around my few beds is mainly weed!

its a lovely morning again can't wait to get out there image

Yes BizzyB, our soil is lovely we're very lucky, just need to prep it for next year then we can get some structure to the centre plot......wish I had more hours in the day

  • I've got a proper patio on plot 1, with a brick shed. On plot 2, there is a pallet patio which isn't very steady and a metal shed. We are picking up a 6x4 shed next weekend that we got off ebay which will be going on plot 2. I'm keeping an eye on chicken houses on eBay too.

I've got mostly bark paths on plot 1, but there hasn't been a delivery recently and whats left is riddled with bindweed roots so no one wants it. It really is the dregs of the last delivery. Plot 2 as yet is path less and you need to provide your own bark. You can go amd collect it from the council but it's a bit of a ball ache to trek across Bristol for it

  • Woo and bizziebee there's some good pics there image

am am I the only one who can sit there are just run good soil through their hands? It's like soil nectar lol

Where in Bristol can you get the free bark from Fruitcake?

  • I'm told that the council have got a place off muller road. I'll ask the allotmemt guy when I see him again and let you know image

  • Bark paths are well worth making, my paths were all lumpy and unsafe, now they feel really good to walk on image

    Thanks Fruitcake.

glad you got your chicken house.....image

Id recommend Nibley bird farm in Yate for chickens, bought all of ours from there and good, healthy birds.
