The drizzle and cold requiring more clothing to be donned has driven me indoors but it seems to be brightening up again so will carry on after lunch, having looked out my gardening raincoat which has not been needed for some time!
The drizzle brought me indoors so I practised on my new computer doing things with my photographs to make them more suitable for posting and sending by email. Here are two pics from today i edited.
Another brilliant morning in Bristol. As today and tomorrow are the last two warm days in the forecast I will try to get to the Bot, Gardens to get pics this morning as need to do urgent shopping tomorrow. I can feed myself and visitors from the garden but washing powder for the washing machine and so on need to be bought! When we moved here there was saponaria in the garden but that has long gone!
I spent three hours taking pics in the Bristol University Botanic garden in brilliant sunshine which was not the best light for pics but was very pleasant indeed for me. The Garden is looking glorious even although the autumn colour has not developed yet. I gasped at the blood oranges growing ouside for the first time and the lemons. The gardeners let me taste the cape gooseberries which are at the same ripeness as mine and they are delicious and ready to be eaten. The mimosa pudica was in flower in the tropical house. it was all very, very, exciting. Some of my pics.
Last really warm day has dawned so after a quick visit to the shops I will spend it in my own garden, seeing where best to use my two long cloches to keep things growing and generally protecting and tidying. I will bring in anything that I can carry to the now tidy conservatory.
Some lovely dahlias spotted at the Bot. Garden yesterday and a lovely orchid. The tropical pond was having some attention so I got to snap the back of the monster waterlily leaf for a change.
The change in the weather has arrived as promised. It is a very dreich day at the moment in Bristol, dark as night, pouring with rain and a very bedraggled lot of flowers out in the garden. On the bright side the plants needed the rain and the waterbutts should be getting replenished. It does not seem colder in the house but maybe outside will be. Forecast is for a sunny dry afternoon so I should get some gardening done then. In the meantime I shall try to get my powerpoint presentation on the way.

Out in my front garden in what seems to be the last day of summer, although the sun is still shining brightly.
