There was a tiny bit of rain late evening. It went very dark very quickly last night, maybe about 8.15-8.30 time. Thats when it happened. I'm not surprised it missed you, it wasnt even proper rain lol
Good morning everyone, its raining in Conwy where going home tomorrow anyway, we didnt get to Bodany gardens as its too expensive to get in never mind, hope your all enjoying your gardens
Lots of work waiting for you in your garden , flumpy 1 when you do get home no doubt. Pity about the garden you wanted to see. Thank you fan no 1, alias Verdun! Rejoice with me this morning in my garden - tomatoes ripe from Mr. Fothergills ready plants which were planted outdoors on 14th April. lots of golden flowers and Mr. F.'s Purple Splash antirrhinum looking good among my white astrantia and a self seeded Sweet William (five plants of it) which is almost black in the meadow! I was purring like a well fed pussycat, believe me as I picked another bowl of lovely strawberries.
It has rained at last, not much but it should save me some watering tomorrow and perhaps fill up some waterbutts. The weathermen think we may have some more heavier rain in Bristol tomorrow. That should plump up the potato crop and help the runner beans along.
We had enough rain lastnight for me to safely sow the hapf hardy and hardy flower seeds from Mr. Fothergills to try for late summer, autumn and winter flowers so that is a job to be done before the rain promised for 11 o'clock arrives. The garden is much fresher and I am breathing more freely as my cold has almost gone now. It should be possible to get some more planting done in the Jubilee border now and fill the vacated pots with fresh compost and bedding plants, The diascias are flowering so now know their colour. My snackbite peppers are growing bigger now so will have to find out when I can start eating them. The first Sungold ripe tomato was eaten while watching the tennis last night and tasted delicious.

Just lovely Marion
You are making my mouth water with the thought of your strawberries.
I agree with Verdun too
