This is one of my six pots of Bellevalia paradoxa much neater in its leaves than muscari .  i think I have enough now to establish it in my slate scree.

Discovered this morning that my miniature bulbs come later than dwarfs so going to be great show for Easter.

Primula sieboldia has hybridised with primula vulgaris I think in the slate bed.  Lovely plant has resulted.  My primulas are as fecund as my snowdrops..

Tulip "Ancilla" is now "fading" to pink from white in its old age!

Four buds already on my red peony.  This one is on the Roll of Honour for fifty years service.

These Mahonia aquifolium are on the Roll of Honour too.  Off to find my mystery bulb now.  I am sure Anna Pavord has such a pretty flower in her book called "Bulb".

Will have to wait for more flowers to open in the clump of mystery plant.  I do have the bright blue ipheion with similar leaves but smaller flowers.  Would be glad of ID from someone who recognises it.

That's a beautiful white primula Marion. What a lovely 'accident'  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

AWWWW!  Thank you all so much.  I shall look at my pebbles with fresh eyes in future.  Come to think about it, they would be such fun to paint in watercolour.  Youhave made me feel like I was back on the stage and some of the audience were rolling about with laughter at my monologue!

Next on my list of fun things to do, after gardening, painting, reading and writing comes cooking.  The rain today could have had me frustrated but I made a huge pot of red lentil and chicken soup using some of the lovely extra garlic bulb that was sent with my trial bulb of Solent Wight for Mr. Fothergills Nation of Gardeners Trials and handfuls of the trials salad leaves.  I used the Spicy cut and come again ones and for colour the Red Lettuce.  Here it is and it tastes even better than it looks.

Hmm.  Someone is being greedy.  I get great pleasure out of sitting down with a blank piece of watercolour paper in front of me and a flower or photo from my garden and a few hours later with the cooperation of my paint and brushes there is a new creation instead of the blank sheet of paper.  The next pics will be of my Mother's Day display on Sunday.  Tomorrow will be a busy one in the garden and baking Mother's Day cakes.  Since Gardeners World is later tonight I might just troll through my pics for you, Edd.  Sweet dreams.
