Another mild dry day ahead so should be able to get more of my plants in and more weeding and pruning done. Forecast is for even warmer Monday and Tuesday! The fallen apple harvest needs seeing to, either giving away or freezing as pulp. I will harvest the rest of the sweetcorn too and that will give me a raised bed to plant garlic cloves from the ones I grew this year.
Feeling a lot better today and my breakfast is staying down , hope the weather stays dry for you today Marion , I keep looking at all my leaves in the garden, I really need to rake them up, but I'll will wait until my strength is back . Weather in the north is dry but very grey at the moment.whats it like in Bristol?.
Really pleased with them Flumpy-they weren't sown until the end of August(packet said a late sowing variety). I didn't expect them to be as big as they are! Lots of leaves to rake up here too-going into bags to make leaf mould, as per Monty's instructions last night! I will really miss the gardening programmes-already can't wait to get started again for next year!
Awww, Linda, that is lovely, so there is a Marion carrot as well as a Marion Swede! They look yummy, enjoy. So glad to hear you are recovering flumpy1 but do no heavy work until you are eating normally and keeping it all down! I have done two hours gardening this morning in warm dry and very calm Bristol and the forecast for the next few days here is even warmer. Harvesting, planting, pruning and weeding as well as leaf mould making here I come.
