Good morning, the much needed rain came, the air is much fresher, it's windy but hope to get the last of the wisteria pruning done
It wraps itself around the corner at the front of the house, can't believe the new growth and several new pannicles of flower since last pruned a few weeks ago.
Your garden is looking good Marion I hope the rain hasn't done any damage.
Brought in 20 ripe tomatoes from the drive where eight of the pots had toppled over in the storm last night as had a huge pot of sweet peas but no damage done as all securely tied to their bamboo stakes. The worst thing was my basket chair which I had forgotten to bring in so now have soaked cushions to dry out. But forecast is dry and warm for today so it should dry out.
My eye was caught by the spread of the deep pink hydrangea which set off the pelargonians, green fern and cotoneaster against the white of the wall, or was it the lovely yellow dalhia (pom pom?) and sweet peas with such lush foliage and deep colour. Absolutely beautiful
