I've noticed that flumpy1. Most of Marions tulips are up and gone and mine are just up now, some only just showing colour in the buds. North Yorkshire sometimes seems to be in a different country to Bristol.

My, my, you are a nightowl, flumpy1!  Lovely Easter Saturday in Bristol.so should get a full day of gardening in after a quick visit to the shops for Sunday lunch supplies.  I have quite a few plants needing pricked out and want to start off some dwarf beans in pots so these jobs can be done indoors tomorrow when rain is forecast.  My Mothers Day bouquets are past their best so will compost now and bring in some of my garden flowers for Easter .  The garden is looking spectacular and I can give lovely tomato plants "Sunrise" which is a big yellow one, super in salads, to my gardening friends as Easter presents, as i have loads and they were much admired last year.  Bouquets of spring flowers will be much appreciated too.

Oh that cold north easterly wind has reached Bristol and brought me indoors to work in the conservatory as something has been nibbling at my zinnias,  Most people go on Easter Egg hunts at this time of year but i am on a snail hunt.  I tidied up one of my raised beds and got quite a lot of lovely new potatoes from the potato plants that had grown from the ones I missed last year.  A very nice freebie.Yesterday I was too hot gardening in a tshirt.  Today I was cold even in a jumper and gardening coat.  Treacherous weather.  No butterflies or bumblebees out today.

Wind dropped this afternoon so one happy gardener again.  The soil is quite warm now and everything I planted yesterday is standing up and raring to go.

Happy Easter, one and all.  Dull in Bristol but not in my garden.  As I looked out the kitchen door the first thing I saw was a chocolate Easter Bunny sitting in the middle of a heart made of eleven small Easter eggs and two Easter cards.  My neighbour got up before me!  They have been rescued from the threat of rain and are gracing the kitchen table now.  Must get into my raincoat and up the garden for fresh produce to repay the compliment.  I know my next door neighbour loves rhubarb crumble and the rhubarb does need harvesting.  We may have a dry morning but it is rather cold so may do most of my gardening indoors today.  I hope visitors get here in the dry as Sunday buses are so few and far between.

Happy Easter Marion, and a very good morning. A bright start here in North Yorkshire this morning, but the clouds are starting to come over. I was going to build a compost bin this afternoon, when I get back from my mums but it may get pre- fabbed in the workshop first if the weather takes a turn. My mum has some rhubarb to pick so I think it might be crumble for pud for me too, image. Have a lovely day.
