Your flowers look gorgeous and specially in the sun, i see it is warmer in the south, its been sunny here all day but a cool breeze, unfortunately i am stuck in work forty hours a week, so i'm hoping easter weekend will be nice, Marion you keep up the good work and enjoy the weather
Beautiful weather once more and very upbeat forecast for next week. It looks like lots of potatoes will be planted this Good Friday. I will be on the production line again today, weeding a patch, replacing with new plants, using the vacated pot to plant some summer bulbs. The birds no doubt will be singing all round me and the Bramley apple blossom will be further out. It is such a beautiful, fresh time of year and the colour in my garden is magnificent.Golden coreopsis plants are ready to be planted with the gold just peeping from their first buds.
Hello Marion, just catching up with your thread and lovely photographs from the past few weeks. I particularly like the view looking back to your house up the pathway.
Taking advantage of the full days (and lighter nights) I've had a blitz on the garden, mainly tidying up and re-potting, which hasn't left much time for browsing on the pc. However, it has meant having some time to sit and appreciate how everthing is growing so well, tulips, forget me nots, wegeilia in bud, as are the peonies, clematis - flowers any day now. Looking at the pond saw water beetles and may fly larvae. Wonderful!
Yes, it is a lovely time of year, BizzieB. I have frogs jumping all over my boots, bumble bees buzzing everywhere, lots of colourful butterflies and birds singing to me all day long. There are so many trees in my garden you cannot see the house in many areas of it but half way up by the potager which is built so the veg get maximum sun. you get a good view.
Oh joy. my Dutch iris "Royal Yellow" have fat buds which may open in timef or St. Georges. Day. I had to use some of my precious rainwater saved from the wet winter for my 48 strawberry plants and three rows of garlic plants for Mr. F. trials this morning and watered the new blackberry "Reuben" too as it is in its first year. Most of mt daffodils are over but i found a few to use for my Easter display in the front garden and the golden coreopsis is flowering already. I hope it does so all summer if I deadhead regularly. It really is like a summer's day today.
Has it been sunshing today?, stuck in work all day, tired, two staff on sick, running round like headless chickens, Easter maddness and people think you should be open through Easter! Really has the world gone mad!!

I went on safari with my camera as the orange tip butterflies were loving my forget me nots and found my third wave of tulips are flowering and
some are really beautiful.

TY, Verdun. I cannot believe that the weather is being so kind to me and my garden in my Golden Jubilee Year.
