An early start on paperwork noting when I have put what over the past weeks and sorting out ngs open gardens to visit. Looking forward to that.
Clear skies this morning, the sun just reflecting the primroses and marsh marigolds. Brings out their colour. Yesterday I noticed how the cloudy sky gave a subtle colour change to the cherry blossom. Watching the resident blackbird exploring the borders for worms. Must get on!
You too, BizzieB. Lots to enjoy of wildlife in the garden now. Holly blue butterflies joined the orange tipped and overwintered red admirals yesterday and some that may be meadow browns but could not get a close look. Small whites in evidence too. Still sunshine today but breezier and a little colder. Will finish my Easter display today.
Oh my gosh, my manure lady came in from the country with 50 bags of really well rotted horse manure. It is stacked up outside the bck of the garage which is my potting shed, waiting for me to take it uo bit by bit or rather bag by bag to the potager. Easter front display nearly done so will take photos when the light is right. No rain forecast till Sunday.
Oh what a delightful walk I had round my bluebell crammed garden today. The phlox paniculata is flowering and vying with the wallflowers as to whose scent is the stronger. A beautiful pink viola has taken up residence among the forget me nots without an invitation. I have never seen one of those before but I know it is a native. The sun went behind the clouds for me to get photos.
