There a place called Bodnant gardens in Llandudno so looking forward to seeing that, i will try and remember to take my camera and share them with you all
The Botanic Garden was beautiful with dragonflies everywhere. I smelled the lotus blossom and had a frightening coughing fit as it seems some pollen got into my congested airways, me having a nasty summer cold. Rescued by the first aid hug of my friend's husband! We had left the tropical house to the last as the flowers open at lunchtime so went straight home. I had an exhausted hour's nap in the afternoon and was able to enjoy the football. .My friends took hundreds of pictures for articles to be written and we all caught the sun as it shone steadily the whole two hours I do enjoy showing people round the garden but will not encourage smelling the lotus flower close up in future.having learnt the hard way!
My package from Mr. Fothergill arrived in the post, six pkts of hardy and half hardy annuals to sow in the last week of June to see if we can get late flowers for the autumn. I will sow the godetia indoors and pot them up for colour in the winter in the conservatory and putt the others in a seed bed in the potager when I have harvested my red onions which are ready to be dug up and dried off. I thought it might be seeds but biennials were in my mind. always interesting this project!
Goodness me! What a nasty shock for you just from simply smelling the flowers! We do that without thinking don't we. Pleased you've recovered D
ragonflies, so magical to see -lucky you.
The colours of the plants on your garden really stand out to catch the eye Marion, lovely. Nice to see the Astillbe's coming through isn't it.
The latest package for trial from Mr.F does sound interesting. I often wonder how you manage for space, good timing that the onions are ready to be lifted!
Fruitcake - what rain? It missed us! Bizzie B, I do love my colours but the garden has lots of evergreen ferns and trees so there is always lots of green too. Here is the onion crop.

Good morning Marion, blue sky with clouds and a cool breeze.
How was your morning at the Botanic Gardens yesterday? I would think there were lots of visitors.
