    G'day all.

Major gales in the night woke me up, so now grumpy.

Verdun I grew a Colocasia from a tuber for the first time this year. I have now dug it up and hope it will survive as a house plant over winter.

Once caffeine levels are up and if I don't go back to bed, I aim to start digging up the dahlia tubers.

    Have a good day.

Morning all. I've been up most of the night with some kind of stomach bllluuuuuggggghhhhhhhhhh. Not sure if my school group or girl guide ghost hunters brought it but its meant that I've not been able to visit a school today which I'm so upset about. Taking the museum into the classroom is such fun!

I've had to retreat back to bed and already I'm bored image

  • Morning all

Thanks for the wake up coffee Dove.....just the right strenght to kick start the day with!

Liri, really hope that life takes on an easier pace for you and your family and that your mum settles in well, sounds ideal.

It's a horrid experience to watch a loved one fall into the grip of

Alzheimer's,  they are still with you but not, if you know what I mean.

Wonky I know what you mean ! Always happens esp this time of year, hate it ,always have to put the laundry on the quick wash cycle again !! You've got me started now......my other bugbear is coming home and finding bonfires burning away in the allotments behind our house  and the smoke engulfing my lovely clean and fragrantly conditioned washing.

Yuk Joe, tics are horrid little things, my dad had one on his leg once after a dog walk, sadly he didn't find it for a couple of days and it crawled up onto his thigh and became infected ,had to be removed by the Dr.

Have a good day, oh how I love Thursdays as its the start of my 5 day wk ends!!! Yipee

Can't sadly do smiles on my tablet.

  • Clari, just seen your post. How awful for you, snuggle down and rest up. Fingers crossed that it will be a 24hr bug and soon pass. Hugsx

Morning all. Sorry Wonky, can't send washing drying weather, drizzling here. Just noticed the swinging chair cushions have been out all night. I told the grandchildren to leave them in the shed yesterday as rain was forecast for today, but they must have waited until my back was turned. It would rain today, just when their Mummy is coming and we are going to visit a chateau.

Dog has had a very smelly upset tummy on his mattress.

Haven't had time for my shower this morning as children woke up earlier and I didn't, been busy ever since. They are in a state of over excitement and the playdough models were in bits all over the kitchen floor. OH was in the kitchen and didn't even notice!

Thanks Flowers. The trouble is parents seem insistent to send poorly children on school trips so that they don't miss out and we all know how covered in germs they are at the best of times! It doesn't help that I have a naturally delicate stomach anyway that seems to find any excuse to act up.

Still: its gloriously sunny out, the dog has calmed down, I've managed to get the washing machine on as so not to entirely waste the day, and if I keep up this drinking lark I'll be too busy peeing to notice I'm unwell. image
