Woke with a sore throat and the sniffles......grrrr!
Hosta, can't believe what has happened to you both!!! What a start to your hols...on the brighter side....things can only get better and you will soon be soaking up the rays and chilling! Have fun.....eventually!!
Claringdon, hope you soon feel better.
sgl, definitely a sofa sounding day.enjoy.
Hmmmmm, might pinch your recipe Dove as fishpie is one of our faves and it nice to try different recipes....thanks for the link.
DD ,feel abit like you today after my post hols clean up.....but its a good feeling once it's all done ( and dusted!!) Have fun ice-skating, only attempted it once ( not a pretty sight!) .
Afternoon Pat, love the pic of your brave hubs. Hope your friends OK and survives your hubs ' ticking off' !!
Hi to everyone who has snuck in whilst I am taking an age posting this, have a brilliant day x
Hope everyone who is feeling poorly soon bucks up. Poor Hosta and OH.
Sorry some got upset about Ed's photos. I just ignore anything that upsets me. We all know Ed now and I'm sure he didn't mean to upset us. I loved the photos he posted earlier of High Force waterfall. We spent the first night of our honeymoon in High Force hotel.
Rain again. In a few months we'll be complaining about the drought and wanting rain for the gardens.
It's a cracker Dove - do you think he was on something when he recorded it?
Lesley - is your foot improving? Glad you enjoy the pix. The advantage of snowy icy weather is that the boggy bits are easy to go over - and the snow means nice clean trousers!
I love fish pie but rarely make it as it would only be me eating it. It's one of my favourite meals though.
Pat - hope your friend is better today.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Hope we get good news from you soon, Hosta. I think compensation is definitely in order... can the airline sue the "gentleman" concerned, I wonder?
What a lot of Forkers with New Year colds. I think we hold ourselves together for all the celebrations and visitors, and pick up any bug that's going (probably provided by said visitors) as a result. Hope you all feel better soon.
About to brave the drizzle, treat the cough sternly, and buy some bird seed - the finches in particular are very hungry at the moment! We identified bramblings for the first time, in a mixed flock visiting the feeders the other day.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
