busy weekend here grandkids down from north wales theatre tomorrow night ( all my sons) royal exghange . family sunday lunch .and lots to do in the garden . still got manflu as wellcurry and beer tonight
Hello folks Funny old day - very dear friend now awaiting results of brain scan, things not looking good. And a good colleague now poorly with heart problems.
I planted out a few tulips yellow and some more primrose, the black fern in the fern area , and moved the a dog wood in the front garden o a better space
watched GW - liked all the berrys on the trees
WW - am taking over the stations - not quite started at Woolston station with planting roses and later daffs planted and a hebe
KEF - think of all the bulbs you can plant to make the garden nicer in spring
No slaps KEF. Everyone of us love the warm spring and summer weather and the garden full of young growth. But at this time of year you get to reap the rewards of all the long evenings. During the hunger gap of April and May we work like trojans for little return but by September nad October the garden looks alittle tired but it's full of crops. The veg patch just needs a clean up. Freshly dug ground has it's own beauty. Looking out at a tidy clean garden, lawns mowed leaves raked up, ah there are few better sights on a winters day. And in a few weeks the garlic and later near christmas the rhubarb will sprout and we are off again. Chin up everyone, gardening never ends it just varies with the seasons.
This site has gone so slow again it's almost impossible to get to the page. Wish I'd learnt the violin, but probably would have been useless. Was useless at the piano.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
