I've never had any problems with mice eating mine (touch wood), the mice round here only like my raspberries and chillies image

I did the same as you too Louise and didn't put enough compost in, I made those silly paper pots and putting more compost in yesterday was a nightmare!!  They look a right mess now (I hope David I doesn't dad this thread LOL image) I'll see if I can do better with my next lot that are going straight where they are to grow image

I'm a bit cross with GW magazine because I subscribed but they messed the direct debit up and put the wrong account number on so I didn't get my last copy, now. Want to order some Lillie's but can't get subscriber discount image I wouldn't mind if it was my fault!!

MUPPET OF THE DAY AWARD - goes to Tracey-dimwit!!!  On Sunday when at the GC with my friend I bought some begonia bulbs (tubers??), 99p if I bought 6 or more.  So, I thought great, I'll get 3 for a hanging basket and 3 for planters, put 3 of each in 2 different bags.  I have this morning realised that I didn't label the bags, I have no idea which ones are which and they all look the same!!!!  What a muppet I am imageimage

Morning all. Frosty here but sunny. Washing already out and another one set for when I get home.

Hope everyone who's been unwell is a bit better today and Dove's mum is alright too.

I'd always go for more arches MrsG and put them together to make a decent pergola. Get some planting beside them too so that they don't just look like they've been plonked in the middle of nowhere, completely unconnected. They should look like they 'belong' to the house or garden.  They'll look very imposing initially but once they're planted....image

Off to work now. Have a good day everyone. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Morning all. Brrr it's chilly out there. Decision made - sticking with 3 of the argos arches, positioning to be decided when they arrive but at lease two together. Off to look at GW mag as someone (Tracey?) said clem on offer! Have a good day.

Good morning folks!  Thank you so much for all your kind wishes for Ma image

No bones broken thank goodness, and they gave her a thorough going over, Xrays, ECG and bloods, all fine. By the time all that was done there was no chance of a transport ambulance to take her home so they kept her in for the night and she'll go back to the Lovely Home after breakfast this morning.  We didn't get back until nearly midnight as the Acle Straight was closed for resurfacing so we were diverted via some of the prettier Broads villages. image

OH kept me company at the hospital last night -  it was nearly midnight when we got home so we went straight to bed, conseqently the washing up from supper is still in the kitchen - but I have got a load of towels out on the washing line this morning.image

The forecast yesterday was for it to be chilly here in Norfolk, but the thermometer shows that it got up to 18C for the second day running.

I've just had a text to say that the new spade will be delivered between 12.31 and 13.31 today by someone called Alan image

Now I'll check on what you lot were nattering about last night ...........
