Got a fuschia, (Sunray) for the front yard, couple of cosmos (one pink, one white), a petunia (tumbelina Julia), a penstemon pinacolada, a thunbergia lemon star and an eryngium. Now need it to stop raining so I can get going
Just had a phone call to say littlest Chicklet and her group have got hopelessly lost on their expedition - so not to bother trying to come and pick her up til 2 hours later than the alloted time . Good job i am staying close by, so have not already set off . Think ((hugs)) might be needed. .... And possibly ice cream if Bekkie has any going spare
Nigella has a lemon ice cream along the same lines which is just lemons, sugar and double cream. Utter heaven. It melts quickly becaue of just being cream which means you have to eat it all in one go...not that I'd ever do that of course.....
Lesley - it's the sphaerocephalon ones - which I love. Little ruby teardrops on tall stems. You can use them like V. bonariensis - all through the border instead of just further back.
Been doing a taxi service for my sis and BIL and got some more supplies to continue my newest project so will get on with that shortly. Had this little visitor in the makeshift bird bath when I was having a cup of tea earlier:
What a lovely time he had
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Back now having a cuppa tea been out volunteering at Sholing valley study centre this morning litter picking nice dry day here -- got to see the Mayor of Southampton today as she is a volunteer of Sholing valley study centre.
There was a small dog that we gained at one point until the owner came out from the trees with more dogs at least it was a small dog
Fairygirl so cute great bird bath - I have the same alliums just starting to show some colour in the front and some blue alliums flowering in the back garden
Chicky - what a shame. At least they didn't get lost!! They were monitored. Doesn't help when chicklet comes home though. Warm bath, hugs and a really tried hard award
Fairy - thanks for the unpronounceable name - I'll practice it or just order off t'net. I have seen pics of them and they look amazing.
I'll just have a wee taste of your icecream bekkie. Didn't dance enough
Well you should have seen me - then you would be laughing
Hmmm ice cream Bekkie, that sounds lovely, only a bit for me though because like Lily I am losing some (well quite a lot) pounds.
Love the bird bath Fairy, happy little Birdy cooling down
Chicky, poor Chicklet, is it her silver? I think she will still pass though won't she? I hope so. My big boy has his first expedition in 2 weeks for silver, they are running a bit behind as one of the girls in their group hurt her ligaments in her leg, so they agreed as a group that they would postpone their first walk so she could still do it, that means they won't finish until September but I thought it was nice of them.
I've got all my lavenders potted up, GH tidied and other bits done, no weeding done yet though as I was shattered after just moving a few pots and bags of compost Off back out in a minute.
