Glad OH has been moved to local hospital DD, I'm sure charlie is an excellent host for your guests! hope things continue to improve for you all
Dove is right about the fried eggs, I liked the white bit, but it took many years to convince her to let us share an egg, before then we used to stash the bits we didn't like on a shelf under the old dining table, until she sold the table without us clearing the shelf and lots of fury sprouts and crusts as well as egg fell to the floor!
Morning all! Unexpected day off as my visiting school today have chicken pox so I am trying to decide whether to nurse my cold under a big blanket, crack on with my studying (stupidly now doing FOUR online courses) or get the garden sorted. Plans for the garden have been changed again as priority is now to demolish the garage and have a much larger one built eating into the garden. I can see the rest of the garden becoming quite the workers yard while this is being done! Oh well: gives me longer to decide what I want to get and change my designs a few more times.
Good news on the job front though: partner has announced he's now earning enough to support the household if I want to change my job and go self employed: this will give me greater flexibility to not have to worry about the current job going down the pan (no funding, no long term security, no contract currently, no boss that has any idea how to run a business or care for his staff...) so when my head is less full of snot I shall be investigating the training I require to get myself working as a first aid instructor with the museum education as a side line rather than a current dark cloud of full time doom.
I'm glad you had some fun seeing the skinks . I hadn't made a connection with the people in Agatha Christie novels, but you're right it does sound posh. I'm not sure how mum lost the end of her tail, but I always suspected Kookaburras. They're meat eaters and rather large. At least she got away from whatever it was.
im so glad DD's OH seems to be recovering. I couldn't help wondering how he was getting on.
Hello to everyone. If to try to go back I'll lose what I've typed. Have a good day.
i can smell curried chicken behind me here, so I think dinner is getting closer. Yum.
Great start to the week, I saw my neighbour leaving for work this morning, gave him my cheeriest good morning, to which he replied "drop dead", to which I replied something far worse!
So pleased to hear your news DD.
Have a good one everybody, I need to get out of here for the day, to stop me thinking evil thoughts.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Dove. The trouble is that the current boss is more concerned about pleasing the few people that he sees as important that he is completely blinded as to what is healthy and necessary to make the place move on. There's no future here at the moment we're effectively in a choke hold.
Still at least I can see it so I'm not being lied to repeatedly and some how expecting that one day those lies will come true.
punkdoc be nice to your horrible niegbour it will wind him up even more
just had breakfast , lovely and sunny but need to prepare for an AGM tonight of a small village charity that I am Chairman of , would prefer to be in garden , never mind always tommrow
lit the first fire of the Autumn / Winter last night , not that cold but makes you feel good

Keep smiling at them and being nice Pdoc - it annoys the heck out of them
As soon as you respond in kind they've won
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Clari, I meant to mention you in my post. From things you have said, you seem to have always been under valued in your current job.
Maybe it is time to put yourself and your needs first.

I agree with you there Pdoc - I think the boss shoud leave and Clari should have his job

Yuk, Wonky. Didn't the dining room table smell?
I don't like egg whites, think it's the texture. Nor does OH, but we like them beaten up, omelette.
2 small grandchildren coming to stay today until Thursday.
