New years eve Throwing it down with rain, 2 C and windy. Heels and frock and a night in the pub ? Night on sofa (in decent clothes) heating on and an indulgent ( greedy) buffet for two
Off to put a nice top on and snuggle up with a bottle of bubbly and OH
I wish you all a happy new year, and those who have had a rough 2015 hugs xx
Your evening sounds perfect KEF. Unfortunately OH got tickets for the bowling club bash where you take your own snacks, listen to noisy music and can't hear anyone when they try to speak to you. Looks as though it will be a wet walk down and a cold one back. I do sound a miserable old git don't I? Will probably really enjoy it after all.
Hope everyone has the kind of evening they enjoy and that aches and pains subside. Have a Happy New Year when it arrives
Well done Pauline, our downstairs loo needs doing when you're ready. I don't really mind painting but I do manage to get it all over me, all over the places it is not supposed to go (carpets) and do seem to use far too much paint for the little job in hand. We are actually waiting for a decorator to come, he said 'in a few weeks', but that was at the end of September, think I might need to give him a gentle nudge.
Topbird, so sorry to hear your sad news, it has been a very difficult few weeks for a lot of people on here, hopefully the New Year will bring better things. Hugs to you.
I have been looking on the internet at some ideas for detoxing or improving my diet, I have felt so ill for days and days, no appetite, no energy, something needs to be done. Not sure the internet is a good place to look though, too many desperate measures. So far I have decided to drink more water, more fresh fruit and vegetables and cut down a bit on wheat and red meat. More fish and probably not drink any alcohol through January at least, something I do every year anyway. Coffee is one I will struggle to give up, but going to try and cut down. I have just met a friend in the supermarket and we have arranged to go for a nice long walk on Sunday morning around a local lake, neither of us is up to jogging yet so a walk is a good option. Has anyone else got any good ideas, without resorting to ridiculous notions?
