Hi Lily, it was a very quiet, sedate affair, a 60th birthday. Have a quick peek back at my first post this morning
My snowdrops are a no show, but I've not quite given up. I can't walk on the lawn to get to where they are supposed to be so can't get a close look. Might nick a few from Mum when she's not looking.
Me thinks a job for this year is sort out better access to certain parts of the garden.
Hi everyone, it's been a lovely day here, very windy but it has stayed dry and sunny, we have taken the rest of the greenhouse down and taken everything to the tip, OH has been a star today.
I am hoping for less rain and more sun this week, the landscape men doing the borders have made a right mess of OH's grass and he is not amused!!!
Anyway, off for a long beagle-walk to make the most of the last bit of sunshine today.
Hope you're feeling a bit less fragile KEF and hope everyone else is ok. Buyer for now
Hi Tracey, enjoy your walk. We went for a walk this morning, but dogless lovely and sunny but quite chilly because of the wind. Should have gone this afternoon as it looks quite beautiful out there now. Never mind i'm tucked up on the sofa now with a cuppa and biscuits!
Hope i haven't lost all my snowdrops, some are down the garden where i cant get to either at the mo, cos of wet grass. As they were from my mums garden
Gg ... many happy returns for tomorrow. not sure if I am on here then, so send hugs and wishes today. My tulips noses are showing. I do hope Verd is wrong about rotting dahlias, as I left all mine in overwinter for the first time.
Sorry, been away for a little while so just catching up again.
pd - steady on...
Happy Birthday Ggirl - hope you have cake to share...
Woody - hopefully things will pick up and there's not too much damage to your dahlias. Most of my bulbs are in pots as I was constructing raised beds for them so I'm just slotting them into spaces until later on.
Ok KEF - what's square and green?
A lemon in disguise...
Just some of the hellebores on sale where I go :
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
