I'm currently being melodramatic on the sofa with my feetsies up. It's spread from maybe two 50p pieces - swelling wise - to about 15cms across in a circle. Taken antihistamines as that's what helps the bites I usually get. I've currently got a steroid cream that helps my other bites too but that's just irritated it. Because I don't know what got me, OH won't let me put vinegar, bi carb, etc on it. I've got some mild tea tree solution from Lush, which I think i'll clean it with before bed. I'm going to have a cool bath soon.

I'm probably being a bit silly, but by gum it's irritating, and huge and ugly.

    I have  a neighbour like that SP....image

Perhaps a cold compress - with some ice - would give some relief for now. It will no doubt keep you awake tonight so sit back and enjoy being fussed over image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Sadly I have work at 7AM, so I'm not much looking forward to bed. Where's the malibu and coke? Sneaky drinkipoos before bed always sets me off nicely!

If you're ok taking it, Aspirin has anti-inflammatory properties - a couple might help if you can take them with any other stuff you've taken.

Sorry to hear your feeling bit poorly sweetpea, hope bites ease soon. As others have said perhaps a trip to the docs in the morning. Take care, hugs

Sweetpea - if it spreads anymore go see a doctor! I was bitten by something last year and in a few hours my foot was a balloon with nasty red looking veiny type things. Not fun but the fluxo helped nicely.

Lovely weather today but I Daren't look at the weather report to see what this week will be like.

    Evening image

Gosh what a lovely day it has been image

Carried on weeding and turning the soil. Decided that I should do some planting before I ran out of ground I could stand on (if you get what I mean). I dug up the fake echinacea (aka buddleia) and moved it to the back of the bed (hopefully not killed it, may have left some largeish roots behind image), and then planted some 28 plants image Will put a pic on the garden gallery.

    Phew, I'm exhausted!

Trying not to think of the 2 meter square patch that still needs doing! image Will need some more plants to fill that gap imageimage

Sweetpea, hope your leg calms down soon.

    Off for a shower!

Hope bite soon eases SP - nasty stuffimage

Sounds like busy weekends all round .... I did more weedingimage.  But it is all looking v summery, so i didn't mind being in amongst it.  OH mowed paths through our meadow (that sounds grand, it is a field next doorimage) - we have finally got yellow rattle coming up all over the place, so hoping i will soon have some luck with the wildflower plugs i am growing.  Meadows are the hardest work of anything in this garden - 7 years on, and we are only making glacial progress.

I've just been reminded, when looking at another thread, that there is a thread for gardens we have visited, with photos. Has anyone been anywhere recently?

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
