Well I love all fruit, bugs or no bugs, and I'm still here to tell the tale image

Right, I'm off now for a shower, glass of wine and then to read my book for a bit.....I was on here too late last night and couldn't sleep again.

Will he shut up if you kick him, Bekkie?  image  - works for my OH...

Re blackberries:  think salt in the soaking water kills the creepy crawlies, so you eat them without knowing they're there... not sure if that's a good thing!  Plain water makes them crawl out of the fruit so you can pick them off.  Lovely subject...

Hmmm...  think it's bedtime.  Night night!  image

Saw a programme last night about meat and ecology, cows eat too much and fart too much, chicken isn't too bad, mussels cost nothing to grow in Scotland except for the ropes and they don't make gas. Insects are very ecological and full of protein - could be the meat of the future!

So much for no blue light time!!

I've just ordered my free Alliums from the mag and also ordered Bellevalia mixed (for my pots), Fritillaria meleagris and some crocus...just normal ones image

Just my orchid daffs and tulips to order now and am contemplating Hyacinths.

Night.....I'm off to dream of spring image

Looks as if everyone has been really busy today. Congrats to all those with exam results. Not an easy time and I wouldn't put the clock back for anything! I really admire our young folk, they have so much more to deal with than I ever had.

All this talk of blackberries!! I am a good few weeks from tasting ours, they are still needing sun, hope we get some.  All this talk of pies and crumbles.

did anyone read the Brambley Hedge books? My daughters favourite.
