    Afternoon all.

    Welcome back Fg., missed you.

Still blowing a gale here, does not inspire me to get out there.

Counting down to holiday, and some much needed sun.

    Have a good day everyone.

What a lovely welcome back from all you lovely people image

Verd- just go and stand in the garden somewhere suitable. If there's a space for you, then there's a space for an Amanogawa....although it might be a bit taller than you image

Hideously wet and cold here too doc - birds are out building a raft and there are puddles on my new area for lawn. My gravel's all nicely washed though image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Hello All

Welcome those who have been missedimage

I have planted a prunus amanogowa in every house i have lived in - always thought it would be great with a clematis viticella climbing through it when mature. Always moved on before tree reached maturity and yes, there is a small one planted by me, then replanted in a different spot in this garden. Perhaps I'll be lucky enough to get to the viticella stage with this one. Certainly seems to prefer its new spot!

Verdun it is a lovely tree - fits in anywhere, surprised you haven't grown one!

Perhaps you could wave your wand for me, can't lift my right arm much. So OH has been doing cooking/washing up etc image

  • Hi All,

Thanks for all the good wishes re Charlie, he certainly had a fab time, but I am so pleased to have him home. We have been for a lovely walk around town this morning & visited a cafe, taking Shadow with us so he gets used to people - Sunday morning ideal as virtually everything shut apart from tabac & little cafe. Think he got sensory overload on all the smells & in the cafe there was a resident dog he made a friend of too.

Charlie loves his bedroom & the lampshade I made him from the leftovers, wallpaper was from B&Q btw Beaus Mum. Marmalade obviousy thought it was especially for him!

Just gorgeous DD. I bet he's thrilled with his new look   image

My eldest daughter loves all the Avengers stuff and has one of the big framed posters. I tried not to worry about mine when they went away too but, even if you're busy, it's quite hard isn't it? Great experience for them.

I feel I should be doing something constructive but the washing's all done, huge load of beef braising in the slow cooker and did food shopping yesterday. I could clear out and tidy the understair cupboard...imageimage... or maybe not  image
