Hi all, just popped in out of a quick rain shower, been weeding - again- where do they all come from? Anyway noticed I had received an e-mail invitation to a delightful sounding Strawberry Tea from Bizzie Lizzie at the end of May, how nice and yes BL we would love to come - and I'll bring cake too.
Hope you enjoy your time at Malvern and also that Matty is well enough to fly back with you, I might have to come over and meet Matty as well if you have a spare moment - will also bring cake.
Going to follow that bramble link now, sound intriguing. And then back to the weeding, I suppose you just have to think of it like vacuuming, do that several times a week too.

LilyP, I'm sure your family will be fine in Moscow. My OH has been going to Russia for years, to teach English as a foreign language (mostly in Ekatarinburg), and has had no real difficulties in that time. He's had the odd problem with bureaucracy, but none at all with the Russian people. And Moscow is a very cosmopolitan city these days.
Yvie, hard luck with the IBS. Get well soon!
Any room in that caravan, Dove? Haven't been to Cornwall for years...
Off out to cut the grass.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Hi all, had a wonderful day here, absolute suntrap waiting for a taxi this morning. Had to pop to B&Q for supplies of weedkiller and some odds and sods OH wanted but when I got home I found i had an attack of sticky labels, including more salvias, bedding plants, and Clematis Chantilly
After that embarrassment, I had a mooch around the garden to discover some wonderful surprises including flowers coming on my new iris. I'm sooooo excited! I haven't seen them flower yet. The weather this afternoon has been wonderful pottering weather so I potted on two clematis, Ville De Lyons was bought for 6 quid and is an absolute thug!
Cooked roast pork dinner which was amazing, my butcher deserves a medal but I guess he'd settle for my continued custom. They come miles around, I kid you not, all the surrounding villages but for me it's the end of my lane
Had a lovely afternoon in the garden. One clematis not made it but then that's a reason to get another isnt it.
cant stop thinking about my Hong Kongers, thanks for all kind comments. The present situation is dire. Chinese authorities will not accept her 2 dogs and a cat on the flight despite months and months of paperwork and all necessary vet work. Bottom line Is looks like they won't fly tonight
am away back to my greenhouse!!!

Back home totally sober music not to our liking and think I've gone off real ale.
Will sit outside in the remaining sunshine and have a lager
Just back from a walk and pub lunch in Chatsworth with friends, £14.50 for a ploughmans, taking the p###s surely.
Time for an amble round the garden and then I feel a snooze coming on, lunch time drinking always tires me out.
