Hello, I'm back Hair tidier, nice new top purchased in the sales and some M&S Vietnamese-style wrapped pork and veg 'bites' had for lunch.
Panda, I forgot to get more antihistamine cream I've got bites on my arms, legs and one on my toe! That last one's the worst! OH has a trip to the dentist this afternoon - I may be able to persuade him to call at a chemist on the way back - I think he'll be willing - he didn't sleep well and had to abandon ship and go in the spare room - apparently I was keeping him awake with my scratching
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
There's a bucket of water on Mum's balcony that's been there for a week (as part of her automatic watering system) and now has lots of gnat/midge larvae in it. I'm keeping a close eye on it and will tip it away when the first pupae appear! 'Tis amazing how fast they colonize new habitats.

Hairdressers cancelled.
Still pouring, been non stop so far. Thunder forecast for later
No rain here. I've put the hosepipe on the sweetcorn.
I've made a big pot of chilli for tea. Just need to grate some dark chocolate in it.
Chilli would be such a perfect dinner for today
Any chance of a spare portion Fidget?
More athletics watching for us today

Have you got any witch hazel in the cupboard Dove? That's good for insect bites - especially the gel.
Itchy and scratchy here too - disturbed all the gnats when I was mowing under the hedge on Saturday morning.
Nope - I had some witch hazel gel but that went home with son some months ago and I've not replaced it.

Which hazel do they use for witch hazel?
Not even a hint of a smile there Steve

Looks like gnats have been out in force for a lot of Forkers over the weekend
