W'song - I think a large bar of something chocolatey should be added to the dinner menu too. Just to keep your strength up of course I haven't had to do indoor DIY for a while now, but it is incredibly messy and tiring and seems neverending at times. It'll be fantastic when you've got it all done and can enjoy it's benefits.
After a trip to Mickey Dees the other day with daughter (only coffee and a bun for me ) it'll be a cold day in hell before I go back - certainly at school run time of day anyway Not one, but two complete *&*@#***s in the car park, intent on damaging my car - and my daughter
Verd- I think you need help with your plant addiction....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
What a grey old day it's been - but I seem to have made a lot of (non-gardening) decisions about C....s, holidays, meals out etc etc over the last few days so, quite productive & I feel both organised & tired (thinking seems to wear me out!).
Sorry to hear some of you are still suffering with aches & pains. Went on a church visit with a large group this morning & had somebody coughing & sneezing directly behind me. Was a bloke so (of course) wasn't doing it into a handkerchief or tissue. If I get another cold it will be the 3rd one since July .... & I just don't need it. First Defence spray in use already...
Verdun - would very much like to hear what planting combo you are thinking of using with the abelia.
I walk past a couple of 'Kaleidoscopes' on my way to the office and they look particularly bright and cheery at this time of year (& smothered in flowers). I keep thinking I would like to find a space for one in my garden - but I'm concerned the wrong combo might look rather brash but I'm sure the right one could be stunningly good.
You're pretty good at that sort of thing so I hope you don't mind me picking your brains for ideas...
Fairy - New series of The Bridge starts a week on Saturday
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Evening all. We are back in France now. The weather here has been lovely, but now it's due to get colder. It poured in England, but I didn't really mind, I love England. The English are much smilier than the French.
Just seen I missed Runnybeak's birthday yesterday. Hope you had a lovely day RB.
Welcome back Edd.
Must go and do something about something to eat. Also must go on a diet, always eat too much in England. Anyone know of a really fast and easy diet?
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Dove, hope the flu symptoms go soon. I need to get some sleep so catch you all later.
Sweet dreams Pat
and thanks.
Christmas this year will be four days, whether we like it or not, won't it?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I'm in the bath again, a twice daily occurrence at the moment
I hate the builder's mess, even when I'm the builder!
Anyways, old floor gone, scrapped clean and sanded ready for new floor
...tomorrow
I'm taking the rest of the day off, Cheesy-Leeky-Potato thingy in the oven with butchers sausages for dinner and a lot of watching TV on the bed
