    Morning all!

Perhaps Hosta and his OH are working up to rioting on their final evening... a parting present for a rotten hotel by the sounds of it.

This is a final look in before I get the train to catch the plane to get the bus to Galway.  image  (Sounds like one of those children's rhymes...)  Thanks for all your good wishes - and please promise to be good while I'm away!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Morning all. Blue sky.

Will cover a cushion this morning and do some gardening the afternoon. Lovely day forecast but garden is still wet. Never finished planting the violas.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hosta - I'm thinking of calling myself that from now on -  'food and beverage director'

To paraphrase Catherine Tate's 'Nan' character ' worra load of old s***'. Think that sums up your hotel fairly appropriately. image

Wonks - I think you were right about confronting the noisy neighbours. Good for you. People just take the p***.

Windy here more than wet but I think it's coming later.

BL  - I finally got round to planting some extra little allium bulbs yesterday.  I bought them in October....image

Only have a summer weight duvet on all winter, but this is a small, well insulated house. Didn't have the heating on last night after half five, apart from half an hour at about nine. Very strange, but last year we had a very wet, cold, long winter and spring never arrived till May, so can't get complacent. It was still snowing regularly on the hills in May.  I tried to buy another warm jacket last week - shops are full of skimpy tops  image  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Hi allimage

YVIE - have you woken up yet?image.  Hope the headache has cleared up.  Hopefully Liri has arrived in Ireland.  Good going with the fundraisingimage.

Chicky have you chosen which seeds to go for this year and are you growing cleomes again?  They looked lovelyimage.

Hosta I imagine a few letters are going to be written on your returnimage.  It's not quite what you signed up for.

Panda I hope they let you out early after trainingimage. It's always a possibilityimage.

Hopeimage Wonky's OH has managed his day at work OK.  Men can be so stubborn.

Windy and wet here now Fairyimage.  Time to batten down the hatches methinks.

Been to SM, spent a fortune, and now cooking for the freezer for the next time I'm away.  Better than h/w thoughimage

Wonky - sorry - my face is in the wrong placeimage.

  • Afternoon all,

WW, I'm with you on (not in) the duvet, I know I'm getting better because I had to throw off some layers last night. image

Hosta, unfortunately that holiday seemed doomed from the start, think you ought to get home and book another one to make up for it - possibly in Norfolk. image

Have a good trip Liri. image

Panda, years ago I used to be an 'In-House Trainer' - it was hell for us trainers too. image

Yvie, hope the headache is better. image

Choir practice has been cancelled tonight, not been once so far this year, I hope I haven't forgotten how to sing. image

Managed to watch some tv last night, Silent Witness, not sure I liked it, will watch 2nd episode tonight, give it one more chance.

Guests have left, nearly 3 weeks they were here, strangely quiet. image

Have a good evening all. image
