You have all had busy week-ends, especially where good food and cake are concerned.
Never been sailing but did manage a canoe trip down the Dordogne recently, probably a bit tame in comparison but very pretty.
Fun day was fun yesterday, sort of a It's a Knockout kind of games with Welly Wanging thrown in, I thought it was just for the kids but parents got roped in too. My competitive streak took over and I did get very enthusiastic about beating the 5 year olds.
Washing day today (again) but very breezy so must make sure I use extra pegs.
Hope you all have a nice day, will catch up later.

Dovefromabove, Swallows and Amazons - loved those books as a child, and still read them now at aged 76! Just checked my bookcases, 11 books all safely in place.
Morning everyone. Looks like you were enjoying yourself DD..its great getting out there on the river, been out once in Kayake and was terrifying lol but we got our own large dingy and enjoyed being out on that, even took a book and chilled for a while while hubby did the hard work.
hi pat, glad your hubby is getting better, what a horrible thing.
Yvie i do hope everything goes ok for your oh today and not at hospital too long. Take it easy punkdoc, slowly does it. Hi and morning to anyone ive missed. Strong winds here this morning after a nightfull of rain so it will be a market visit then the dreaded housework this afternoon i think. Have a good day everyone
Pdoc - something to look forward to is always good
DD - I've never found canoeing to be tame - not even here http://thorpenessmeare.co.uk/ where we used to take Wonky and her brother when they were younger. I had a session there last summer with my grown up son and OH's 12 year old niece - son and I had a canoe and she had a kayak - not tame at all! The place is based on the Peter Pan story - there is a crocodile!!!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Thanks for the messages of support for Hubby, everyone. He's nearly back to normal, I think, apart from sore ribs. He easing into food. Quite pleased with my chicken broth, although I felt it could do with a zing, never, mind, so long as he's keeping it down, I can put up with it.
Ooh Dove, that looks lovely, I do like the idea of it not being deeper than 3 foot all round too. You should work for the tourist board over there, all the places you mention (and the food) are very enticing.
