It all seems to be working normally here - even to the extent of the quotation tool not working.

    Hello all!

Think everything on the site is working normally for me too.  Wonder what the problem is?  It's not weekend any more...  image

Spent a happy afternoon with Mum in the Home.  She was on good form and enjoyed asking me (endlessly!) about my knitting, which I'd brought for entertainment - I find it really difficult to chat endlessly about nothing much (because I said it all yesterday) without something to occupy my hands.  But it's always nicer when she's in a happy mood.  image  Not sure I would be, in her situation... I dread the thought of developing dementia...  image

I love the Arthur Ransome books too, Dove.  But I'm sure "Swallows and Amazons" and the next 3 or 4 books in the series are set in the Lake District.  It's "Coot Club" and "The Big Six" which are set on the Broads, and then there's a couple set on the coast somewhere (Suffolk, perhaps?).  My favourite was "Swallowdale" I think, where they went camping and had to find a water supply... must read it again!  image

Out singing tonight.  Better get tea on!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Evening all.

Don't you just hate doctors! There was a definite, although unsaid suggestion, that bad backs are just a part of getting old. 27, is that old?

Looks like no gardening for a few days, so seed shopping, planning and plant porn for me.

Off to cook supper and await OHs return from work.

    Have a good evening everyone.

How can you lie there and think of England
