Thank you all for your support. Feel slightly nervous in case there are incidents but I think it's lovely the way the French all want to get together to support freedom.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Evening all, had a read back, wind sounds very scary, just seems to be constant drizzle here but very warm, hope it soon passes you all by & the damage not irreparable.
Yvie, I really fancy a cherry tree too & a rowan tree, going to buy some real babies at some point and nurture them on, so pretty.
BL take care tomorrow, there is one in our town too but I haven't decided whether to go or not yet, Charlie only just back from his trip & I wanted to spend some nice quality time with him.Certainly be thinking about you and the poor victims.
He had a super time, only got back at 12:30 last night & was talking about it until at least 2:00 am, lying in bed just babbling on about it all. We took Shadow for a very long walk together this morning, little so & so found some fox poo to roll in so had to have a bath when he got back. (dog not Charlie).
Then we realised the cat had gone AWOL so went all around the local farms searching for him. Charlie was chatting away to the farmers & their wives ( they did fuss over him) & I realised how much French he knows, really quite fluent now, amazing since we have only been here 9 months. They all promised to look out for the cat & then as we arrived back, muddy & sodden there he was sat on the doorstep waiting for us with a disgusted look of "where have you been? " on his face
Right off to bed, been settling poor Shadow in his crate - he hates it, but hoping he will start to realise that I will be back for him every morning. He is actually snoring now so will creep away quietly - please don;t anyone make a sound for five minutes or so.
“Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?” —Betsy Cañas Garmon
So pleased Charlie enjoyed his trip - always good to have them safely back. i have been eyeing up rowan trees too - beth chattos garden had a beautiful one with pink berries
Matty - I go for the ignore them til they say something that's actually interesting route
Have a good day everyone, I've an aloe vera that is in desperate need of repotting and a garden that needs tidying up after all the weekend wind damage.

BL, sure you'll be safe tomorrow. I echo the sentiment and ask you to hold a pencil for me too.
Not sure what you do about the uninvited now - can't remember what you call them - but I think we have one - Wills??
I thought perhaps Wills is on the rather young side.
I will be holding so many pencils I hope I don't drop them! Thanks all.
So glad to hear the worst of the wind seems to have gone.
@Chicky, I had a beautiful Rowan tree once but but but, the fragrance attracts flies
so good luck with your better choice than mine
Off to work I go
Good Morning
Less windy it rained overnight and is cooler today. Hopefully I can do some things in the garden and not spend too much of my time on here

Put an elastic band around all the pencils Lizzie
DD pleased to hear your little man doesn't roll in poo
