    Very dapper Woody!

Dove - did today's fashion spree materialise ?

On ski-ing, would have been quite happy for my P's to spend the lot! Hope i am bringing my daughters up to have the same respect for us image. Partly comes from how your parents treat you - mine once lent me money for a car, but only after we had agreed a payment plan for paying back - it was interest free, so they lost out, but the principle was established. Similarly my sister once had to move back home. They charged her rent, so she would get used to paying it, and then eventually returned what she had paid so she had a deposit for her own flat.

So they helped us out, but helped us to learn to help ourselves too.

I grumbled when my parents charged me rent when I started earning but now I am eternally grateful to them as it taught me how to manage money and be careful.

  • Absolutely agree with the above ! image

Oh my goodness, look what the techies have been up to!!! Tee hee!!!

Fraid the shopping spree didn't happen - I've been pottering and have even had a few minutes shut-eye - I'm really tired!!!  Think it's all been a bit draining the past few weeks.

Will do shopping another day - just now I need to dash to the corner shop (Waitrose in the village) and get something in for supper  - see you in a bit - can I get anything for anyone? image
