Hello everyone image I've had a really busy day with work and then have been having a major de clutter tonight, one advantage if OH getting a business and premises with his own office in is that I now get to have his office upstairs at home instead of making do with the dining room and cupboard in there! So I've moved upstairs and cleared out the cupboard (it's a really big walk in cupboard, I think it used to be the pantry) and I am going to store all my jars etc in there so OH can't moan about my 'rubbish'!! image

Had a celebration Chinese and now sat down for 10 minutes with a glass of red image

We've got bumper blackberries here too, last year there was hardly any, but I've not managed to get out to pick any yet, I will do over the weekend as I've promised OH seedless blackberry jam (such a pain to make so I must really love him!! )

I doubt anything would bring me to make blackberry jam- seedless or otherwise! image

Do any of you soak the blackberries? I seem to remember my nan soaking them in a salt solution to get rid of any crawlies, might get some of that fruit and veggie wash, have any of you tried it? image

Anyone know of a remedy for policemans heel? image

I don't soak the blackberries if I'm making jam but I do wash them, any creepys will die and add to the flavour (I suppose that means my jam isn't guaranteed veggie? image)

If I'm eating them 'raw' I soak them for about five mins but only in water, no salt.

I think a certain insect percentage is allowed in all foods- how yukky is that! (Puky face! ) image
