Really windy here in West Mids but no damage as far as I can see.  Hope everyone is safe.

Just watching a very silly man climbing a ladder trying to put his roof tile back on in gale force winds.

Been out to lunch with best friend and her French husband. Tomorrow we are going together to local town to demonstrate for freedom of speech after the Charlie Hebdo shootings. There will be similar all over France.

Oh gosh what drama is around us with gale force winds and falling fences and falling Lilies, (hope you get well soon SGL) and Chicky on the road. image

We are fine here at the moment, couple of power fluctuations at work and home apparently, but nothing serious. Hope all stay safe and uprightimage

BL, awful (understatement) what's been happening last few days, we'll all be with you and the rest of France tomorrow I'm sure.

Thank you Mrs G. Worries me a bit that terrorists will target the crowds of people in the demonstrations.

Wind had calmed down a bit here now and the sun is out. Went for walkies at Cudmore Grove CP, Mersea Island this morning, gale force winds along the beach, cleared my head well though after my cold. image Fascinated to see coastal erosion, I've often wondered what tree roots really look like underground, and along the beach there this can be seen, poor trees up on the cliffs with all the soil washed away, just waiting to topple into the sea.
