Been half day of volunteering at Sholing valley study centre today - litter picking around Millers pond then got to have a nice lunch cake and rolls
Later on when home sorted out moving large boulders in the front garden and re arranging the size of the border, planted out a few plants which is good, helps get the plants that need planting down - before next weekend when it is off the Stansted garden show http://www.thegardenshowonline.com/gardenshow_stansted/ when I will be buying more plants as still need more plants for areas in the garden and inspiration too and lots of other bits
Has been a very warm day had the sun cream on today
now the peeps that collect slugs what do you do with them? is it bag them and bin them?
Caught up to page 851, but gave up after the Pimm's party! Hope you've been behaving and I've not missed anything. Hi Gg, thanks for moth, butterfly chart, will try and have a look sometime soon.
I squashed about 8/9 huge snails last night Ggirl. Best way to get rid of them although I do sometimes chuck them into the road to give them a fighting chance
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Been reading what everyone did yesterday, my goodness I feel so inadequate. I only did a bit of weeding and planted out a couple of delphiniums and a lavender. The rest of the time I was just pottering around. Oh and I potted up some more self-sown verbena bonariensis seedlings, I now have about 65, and there's still more in the garden. I'm going to try and sell them off as I need to raise funds for my greenhouse. But that's for a bit later on in the summer when they've grown a bit.
Anyway I'll try and be a bit more industrious today still got most of the plants I bought on Saturday to plant out or pot up and lots of ivy, nettles, brambles, grass and other weeds to clear at the top of my garden. Plus washing and cooking.

My blue poppy has flowered
Except it's purple

Maybe the next one will be bluer. I have a geranium Rozanne that was rather lilac last year, but now it's blue!
And with that I wish you all a good night. At least it'll be a good night when the folk from the pub next door *ahem* off and head home.
