Wow, you really are up early, Wintersong. I'm still trying to shake off a sore throat and stuffy nose. We're sitting inside with the air con going today. Horrible out - hot and windy. Hope you get your cold under control.image

Hope everyone with the sniffles and other lurgies are feeling better soon, and that all affected by the storms and flooding are ok ((hugs)).

Pauline, sit down and have another cuppa - that urge will pass image

  • Somehow New Year's Eve has crept up on me Pat - can't think how, it seems to occur most years image

I shall have to pop down to the shops and get something nice for supper - we've used up all the Christmas leftovers except for the cheese.

  • I was pondering on a nice fish pie ...

Hmmm. By the smells coming from the kitchen, we're having grilled Red Capsicum, chick peas and minute steak. Don't eat red meat very often, so it'll be a nice change.

The TV is full of people setting up around the foreshore of Sydney Harbour to watch the midnight Fireworks display planned for the harbour bridge. I doubt that we'll be awake to see it, but you never know.

    Good morning all, hi Patimage

Wifi connection has been a bit iffy and my iPad is still squashing all the posts to the leftimage.

It will be steak pie and chips here this evening and have fulfilled the shopping order for cocktail sausages, sausage rolls, breadsticks and dips - a very healthy start sor the New Yearimage.

Much cooler this morning but it's dry.  The poor people with flooding issues will not be feeling very much like celebrating tonight.

Hope everyone with pains/sniffles etc start to feel better very soon.

Take it easy Pauline 7, don't want to spoil the good feeling

Afraid fish pie wins Lesley, can't eat the pie bit of steak pie and I used to make a mean fish pie with nutmeg mash topping. Don't know why it was called pie though image

  • Hi to you all....Happy New Year Pat!

Gosh , last day of 2015..........how did that happen!!!

Busy morning ahead, a race round doing general hw before the rest of my family(dad and siblings) join us for an early New Year celebratory lunch.

Will see the New Year in with my hub and son , probably by watching a movie and having the odd tipple!

How are you all going to celebrate it ....or are you not really too bothered by it all, do you wait up to welcome it in or prefer to to sleep through its ( sometimes noisy ) arrival.

Whatever you are up to I would like to wish everyone a really, really Happy and Healthy New Year. X
