Morning all, took me ages to get here. Site very slow and page kept coming up blank. Or is it my laptop?

Supermarket today. Need more potting compost, wish they'd hurry up and have their autumn promotion.

Morning All (check, yes just about morning!image)

Swimming this morning, certainly working us harder now, when we first started we were all very hesitant/non- swimmers now we all do a couple of lengths at a time and are learning different strokes

Hills are shrouded in heavy mist - means rain is inthe way and ut is getting darker.

Am going to do a little more of my winter project today ( not gardening weather) I am re-upholstering an old settee I bought on E-bay for 99p. I made an instant profit as I found £3.20 down the side cushionsimage

    Forum much quicker now.

Don't think Leclerc supermarket is going to do an autumn promotion. They were filling the shelves with masses of toys for C........  GC had cleared a huge space and were filling it with artificial trees and decorations. When we first came to France in 1985 we couldn't buy a real C. tree before mid December.

Right back after yet another de-clutter day. Handbags gone okay. Unworn summer clothes ok. Cookery books, so so.? Mostly only looked at the pictures and have saved best ones. Gardening books..oh No no no..have managed to part with 8 ancient ones. About 30 left on bookcase. One step too far..image

Autumn arriving big fashion here, Beech hedge turning, leaves dropping off most things, hosta leaves "rotting", birds eating hungrily, gathered seeds from Honesty, time to get Dahlias out, but still got a few sweet peas & Cosmos purity still going great a deffo' for next year.

Right off to make some food.

Evening forkers,  Its been like c..mas    here today. Two parcels of bulbs arrived.

Actually did some gardening this afternoon, weeded and cut down plants that had flowered and planted 1 trough with home grown wallflowers. That's 11 troughs planted now and 4 pots. Can't do the gazania ones yet as they are still looking pretty - at least when the sun comes out like today.

Kitchen smells lovely as OH is cooking pears in spiced red wine. Fish tonight with yet more runner beans.
