I hope all going on the snowdrop walks have a good time tomorrow.

I'm back from the Opera live from the New York Met at the cinema in Périgueux. Rusalka by Dvorjak. It was wonderful. Water nymph falls in love with prince and it all ends unhappily. Based on the Little Mermaid. My friends brought picnic supper and wine which we had in the 2 intervals. It was 4 hours long, but glorious music.

It's been absolutely tipping it down all night here in Norfolk, but the forecast is for bight spells for our Snowdrop Walk, but very blustery .  Actually  the rain has stopped and it is brightening up already image

BL - Rusalka!!!!! Wonderful, I just love the music but have never seen it performed - the live screenings are a brilliant idea - now that I have time for such things I must keep an eye on the forthcoming stuff at the cinema.  My last opera was Peter Grimes performed on the beach at Aldeburgh last summer - an amazing experience.

Morning all. I hope the rain keeps off for the walks.

Dove, Peter Grimes on the beach sounds an amazing experience. The New York Met will be doing Prince Igor and La Boheme in March and April.

Going to Bring and Share lunch after Church this morning. Did I say OH is away in England? Back tomorrow.

    Morning all.

    Now, I'm sure there is something I'm supposed to be doing today but I can't remember what . . . . . . image

Have a lovely day everyone! Hope it stays dry and all are safe.

BL http://www.theguardian.com/music/2013/jun/18/peter-grimes-on-the-beach-aldeburgh-festival-review - I used to live near Aldeburgh, and as soon as I heard that they would be staging PG on the beach I was determined to be there - to hear Britten's music with the sea and the gulls was amazing, a once in a lifetime experience.  image

My son  and DL live close to Aldeburgh so I can usually stay there and get to see a few things at the Festival and other events at Snape Maltings each year - such a wonderful venue image
