  • Good luck to DD's OH, do they have a diagnosis for him? Fingers crossed.

  • Ooh that was a bit slow Fairy, I was hoping you'd get it yesterday.  But at least it's arrived lol.

DD, have been thinking of you too today. Everything crossed for a speedy recovery.  Big hugs to you all. Take care of yourself too. Best wishes x

Panda glad the first week went well. Enjoy the weekend.

Trying to stay awake here 'cos I'll have to pick OH up from the station in about half an hour so I thought I'd noodle on here with you lot while I watch HIGNFY.

Jo, I think Wonky might need a bandage after

The flat is lovely - they've been with that landlord for a long while now and they know not to have great expectations - it will all get done eventually but he is quite 'economical' so tradesmen don't give his work priority image

Good that the flat is lovely though. You are so early to bed and early to rise Dove, I'm just the opposite!

Didn't make the chips, lily, thanks to Findus! I have potatoes in the garden but they make soggy chips. Don't know why as they roast really well. The French don't seem to do fish in batter, it's always in breadcrumbs. OH likes batter. Wish it was low calorie.

I've been making plant supports like that for years, since Alan Titchmarsh did it on GW, so much cheaper. I only use one plank of wood. Posted it on the forum once. That was a stunning garden, one person couldn't possibly do all that clipping.image

Liked his (Griff's) garden too, although I was only half paying attention. Will watch it  properly on Sunday, or tomorrow night.

For anyone who's peckish - there's a few of the 'fairy' cakes left from my birthday image

They were very tasty. Just as well I'm walking again tomorrow - I've eaten rather a  lot of cake this  week  image

A quick hello to anyone still awake - just back from a day spent looking at potential homes for Mum, with my sister.  Definitely some good ones among them, including a really lovely small dementia unit surrounded by gardens and fields, with a real family feel and caring staff.  image

DD - just read back about your OH.  Thinking of all three of you - hope for better news tomorrow, and please have a big HUG in the meantime.

    Evening all.

I really hope you get good news soon DD, if there is anything I can do, please let me know.

Rare treat tonight, went into town to the theatre. Saw a good production of Romeo and Juliet and had lovely meal.

Don't do town much these days, prefer country, but it was a nice change and the bottle of red and the Grappa helped me relax.

enjoy the rest of your evenings, I might have a malt before bed, seeing as I am in the mood.
