Evening all, sorry for being AWOL have had toothache and a cold over Christmas and was back at work yesterday so been a bit lazy and only done loads of cooking!

DD, Dove is right...we none of us have perfect families....understatement to say the least! That's why we leave home and make our own!
Have a multiple occupation problem with the flat upstairs which has gone from having one elderly Romanian couple to six adults and untold herd of children, unwilling to communicate denying knowledge of English, however landlord assured us lovely quiet couple! need I mention, bare floorboards above and running children driving me nuts! Ate Christmas dinner in the half finished basement with mouldy walls for some peace! Have got back into my punk music days and am investing in amplification for the kitchen! they are really gonna regret starting a volume war with a house music DJ and his punk loving wife!
Hi all, happy to report some friends invited us all over to their house tonight for a couple of drinks. OH and Charlie have gone already, I am stuck waiting for 5pm arrival guests to get here - typical, just when I had bucked myself up. They have phoned with a new arrival time of 7pm - not looking too good is it!

DD, I totally empathise . Your sister trying to make you look inadequate reminds me why I never speak to my brothers. Every new person who ever came into my life had to be told stories X, Y and Z to amuse them and to humiliate me.
I'm sure I'm not the only person on this forum who feels inadequate by comparison with your activities DD. I look at you as some sort of human dynamo whose efforts and actions put mine to shame.
I know feeling poorly clouds the judgement, so get back on top form again.
