Ahhh. I should have guessed that he was involved somehow, after all the fun yesterday. I read the AC original story years ago - I read all her books then.
I just stood on the scales and gave myself a fright. I really shouldn't be thinking about chocolate but you've made me remember the Frys crime bar with five different centres. They were lovely. Why did they stop making the good stuff?
Loved your pic of the beach Dove
Enjoy your bit of fresh air Pdoc and I hope the birds put on a show for you.
Like Chicky, I don't like the cream fillings especially the coffee. I like coffee, but it's just too cloyingly sweet in a chocolate.
May have said before, I saw "and then there were none" in the theatre in Brighton in July. Preferred it as a play, but I knew the ending so that spoilt the TV one. No Aidan Turner in the play though.
Family arrive this afternoon. The older ones (4-10) want to do a Christmas show, I will be making dinner and the Mummies of the 3 little ones want to do bath time - all at the same time. I foresee chaos!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
All this talk of chocolate... - my personal weakness is very dark chocolate, can't eat much at a time though. The very sweet milk chocolates make me feel - and as for cream eggs... However, I can confirm there are lots of different ways of putting on weight over Christmas which don't include chocolate. Cheese, for example...
Fairy, thanks very much for the heads-up on Cameron McNeish. Just checked and I can indeed get it on I-player (though maybe I'll wait until I'm not being jumped on by a 4-year-old...)
SYL
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I don't post very often but try to keep up with you all.
Glad Puncdoc is feeling a little better and hope Hosta and DD are soon on the mend.
It's a lovely day at the moment and the plan today is to clear a big branch of ivy that is blocking the entrance to the bottom field.
I took my new pup out for her early walk about 7 a.m. and she was really frightened because a fox was screeching nearby. Normally nothing scares her. I also saw an owl. Tawny owl, I think. I hear them often but rarely see them.
Have a good day all. Must go and work off some Christmas choccies.
By the way AC wrote some of her novels on Burgh Island off the Devon coast. We lived on the Island for a year over 20 years ago when my OH managed the hotel. Fascinating Art Deco place. It was reached at high tide by a sea tractor.

thanks all for the explanation.
Pdoc, hope you have a good day.
Oh! We don't appear to have any water. Not so much as a drip. Awaiting Yorkshire Water to contact us but it was fine earlier.
*starts searching the drive for signs of a burst*
Sorry about the smell; no shower!

Oops, they were cadburys. Now I think about it, the Terrys version was Waifa.
Morning all.
