Pottie pam, you may be able to tell us. I know many films have been filmed on Burgh Island, but I thought last night that the island was a different one. Does anyone know where last night ATTWN was filmed?
Hope you feel better soon Hosta and you DD. It's taken just over 2 weeks to start feeling better after the dreaded lurgy, still have a bit of a cough, bit of a dodgy tummy and feeling tired. It's a lovely day here and have a lot to do in the garden but just don't feel up to it at the moment.
Nothing planned for today, hope everyone has a good un.
Morning all, (well afternoon, even allowing for GMT),
I did get up earlier but didn't last long & went back to bed. Up & showered now (unlike some I hear ) and feeling a bit better, washed out now rather than just plain ill, thank goodness. OH has just presented me with what would normally be a tasty lunch from the boulangerie, sort of pizza on toast, olives, courgettes and goats cheese, not sure I can face it, in fact I have decided to go for a completely healthy start to the new year. I have a feeling all the chocolates and mince pies are what made me ill so going for simple and natural food from now on - do you think the cat will eat the olives and courgettes? OH rarely helps with food and I know he was doing his best but he couldn't have got it more wrong.
The talk of chocolate bars brings back very happy memories for me too; my mum was a post lady and as a treat she had a chocolate bar every afternoon when she picked us all up from school. I remember her now savouring it (and never sharing, we did all have the penny mix, much preferred anyway) declaring all the exercise she did on the post round meant she wouldn't get fat. "do you know how many miles I've walked today?" she would say. She had phases too, Bar 6 was one, Fry's Chocolate Cream, Waifa, Galaxy and Kit Kat. Happy Days, miss her so much.
Thanks to all for get well wishes, it means a lot to know you are all out there, I know it's only because I am ill that I feel so down but not even getting a Christmas card from one member of the family has been very upsetting. If mum knew those four children back then in those happy days would end up at this impasse it would break her heart and I have no idea how to got to this or how it can ever be fixed. Anyway, never mind, I need to pull myself together and get over it, there are a lot of people far worse off in the world.
Really pleased to see you back Punkdoc and out and about too, well done you.
Hosta, glad you are feeling a bit better and hopefully will be raring to go by the time you go on hols.
More guests arriving today so hopefully a bit of work will put me back on track.
Good day to all.

Hello.
Back from v. short walk, 40 minutes and I was exhausted, too much lying in bed.
Lovely sunshine up on the moors and managed to see a Dipper, which is always a cheery site.
Hope you get better before your holiday Hosta and hubby too, plus DD.
