Well bacon has been consumed, the dog has been washed (first bath since he hurt his leg: and my gosh was it overdue! ).
I've rescued a few baby aloe veras from the monster plant that is too big for the house. I know its not the ideal time to do it but we'll see what happens. The monster is now residing in the greenhouse because as huge as it is (it fills the window and has a tendency to reach out and attack you if you're not alert) I really don't want to throw it into the compost bin (for starts because I'm scared it'll start prowling the garden at night and eat all the frogs).
I was talking to a friend yesterday about how dogs really are just hairy three year olds: I'm sat here in the most uncomfortable position having had to cuddle the dog til he fell asleep because he's overly tired, grumpy, and wont settle as the neighbours children keep disturbing him. I daren't move.
Worse still he's having his first away day at grandmas next weekend (first time we'll have left him aside from his night at the vets). It's a good job I've a scout group at the museum on an overnight camp to keep me distracted because even though I know
a) he's a dog
b) his grandma is used to having dogs on account of Meg the spoilt Queen of the family pack living there
c) he's a dog
I'm already starting to get nervous!
Do I admit to them that we sometimes drive him around in the car until he falls asleep if he's being particularly grumpy and wont settle when there is a little noise?
Do I let them know that its entirely normal for him to refuse to eat (for days before you start thinking we spoil him that much) until you hand feed him with a spoon?
Will they know to break his biscuits in half before giving them to him because even though he's almost 30 kg of muscle and fluff he likes to have you hold his biscuit while he delicately nibbles the edges away??
Evening all, Found out why I was so tired, I've got a cold, so haven't been to see mum today, I did phone but they wont tell you much over the phone.
Another lovely day here, sunny and warm so I spent a few hours in the garden pottering, have identified a few areas where I'm not happy with the planting but not sure yet what I'll do to remedy the situation.
Found a Silent Witness I hadn't seen, so watching that at the moment. I think I'm going to have a look and see and if I can find out how to insert those Emoticons, they look fun.

Half empty? I am a glass completely drained, please fill it up again.
Nice day, quite warm, managed a little gentle weeding.
Rack of lamb in the oven and nice bottle of Rhone warming close at hand.
Glad you had a good holiday Fg.
Have a lovely evening all.

Good evening everybody , sounds like we all had a good day
had a little drive to a community wood then to a nature reserve and managed to pick enough sloe berrys for sloe gin , vodka and port
putting them in freezer until next month , by freezing them , they split when they defrost so no need to prick them
cheers
Here you go Pdoc
Clari I expect you'll be packing a large case for him and 'phoning on the hour
