Hi Edd. Yes, I'm very grateful for having access to this site. I feel I know most of you as friends. Over here, Halloween was never a part of my growing up (in the 40s)  But I notice it has snuck into the shops and TV, etc. thankfully, we are a bit remote from neighbour's who might have children knocking on doors and expecting free lollies.image

ive had very tempting Black Friday offers from the Society for All Artists and Hallmark cards and even from GW offering me subscription bargains (lucky mine is still active or I might have succumbed).image

You don't fool me Edd. They were glad to get rid of all the feisty ones in the 1800s. That's why we have the best sports people - the genes will Out!image

Whoops, hope Verdun isn't sneaking a look in here. Don't want to stir him up about Aussie sportspeople! image

  • Edd looks interesting

Think the rats would be running around in it and it would turn into a poo area, would not look so tidy - like using the Darleks they do compost well

Properly get more air not sure about heat though the other way, only read a bit will have to read more another day

    Night all

While you lot are going to bed, I've been outside reefing out Broccolini plants which are rapidly going to seed. I'm amazed at how big they grew and the size of the roots. I'm just keeping one vigorous plant for seed saving, because I can't remember where I bought the last packet and there is now some sort of PVR on calling them that! Now with a glass of cool water and sweat pouring out everywhere to cool off.

Edd , I can't comment of your government, but I wouldn't waste time commenting on mine. image

Good morning all image G'day Pat image

I was just dozing off on the sofa last night when I was woken by really noisy strong winds and torrential rain - there were some crashes outside but it's too dark to see anything yet.  Don't suppose it was much - fingers crossed.

Morning Dove, that coffee looks good. When will it be light enough for you to go out and have a look?

  • It's just getting light Pat, so I've been out in my dressing gown and Crocs for a look around - can't see any damage image so goodness knows what the crashes and bangs were - perhaps next door or possibly some children's toys blowing about in the garden behind us.
