When I was in Crete years ago with first OH there were little stalls selling freshly BBQ'd lamb and thyme shish kebabs. Some were in quite out of the way places!
Hope you enjoy coffee Womble. I'm having lunch, after 1pm here.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I could eat a chicken one if it was from a reputable establishment....is there such a thing though? I call it elephant's leg as well Steve 309. I did try to put youngest fairy off by showing her the footage on YouTube of the rat on one at night. It must have had cctv. (The shop - not the rat ) Doesn't bear thinking about
Typical - I'm at work today and it's lovely. Very autumnal. The trees are all turning especially further north, but there's a few 'golden' patches around here as well.
RB I expect your hair will be fine. I often cut mine (with the use of mirror wardrobe doors) because I hate hairdressers touching my head, even when I haven't got shingles.
My MIL was lovely, too. Sadly she died aged 61, younger than me now.
Been to see my horse, she looks fine, has new friends in the field.

Jo, I'm much kinder than the local council.....they have had three months eviction notice and have been offered alternative accommodation in the roomy shed, garden adjacent!
Cake for me too please...had a low sugar wobble earlier and now have flashing light migraine! not sure if I'm spelling or hitting right keys as can't focus without a rave before my screen! Off for a lay down!
Love the sound of ya haircut Runny! I've been splitting that look since I was fifteen.....the kitchen scissor hack job! x
Yuk Wonky, hope you feel better soon. I get them now and again and it's usually a bright light that starts it off.
Dove I've really enjoyed the Peregrines, especially the bit where the male is attentatively (is that a word?) watching how the female feeds the chicks.
Rb I'm glad you're feeling slightly better and enjoying jo's coffee and cake. Hacked hair is all the rage.
Lizzie I'm glad your little mare is happy with her new friends and also pleased that you can go to see her.
Today has been a bit weird. All the 'men' bowling at different times, wanting food at different times but me and the dog are happy doing things at the same time. Sod em. Whoops I didn't mean I was upset - I love to be able to do my own thing

Dove, thank you for putting up that link to the peregrines. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Brilliant idea to make it available to everyone.
Good afternoon Wonky - enjoy your Bank Holiday
At least you're not doing the Notting Hill Carnival this year
Think some people will be a trifle damp
Oneofseven - it's great isn't it
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Afternoon Dove! Yes too many people at notting hill for my taste! Don't really do London, except if Prince has a gig of course!
Now showered and on second coffee...quite proud of that achievement!
Oops...forgot....
HAPPY BRIRTHDAY CHARLIE!
OK.….on with the day!
